Description
The Harbin SH-5 is a military aircraft developed by Harbin Aircraft Industry Group for maritime patrol and reconnaissance missions. Introduced in the late 1960s, it was primarily used by the People's Liberation Army Navy of China. The aircraft was designed to meet the specific requirements of anti-submarine warfare and maritime surveillance missions. It features a high-wing configuration with fixed landing gear and is powered by turboprop engines. Capable of carrying various sensors, the SH-5 has been deployed in coastal surveillance, sea rescues, and anti-submarine operations. While no longer in production, the SH-5 has remained in service with several military forces worldwide.
