The Latvia Air Force, officially known as the Latvijas Gaisa spēki, is the aerial branch of the Latvian National Armed Forces. Established on April 24, 1992, it is a relatively young air force. The primary mission of the Latvia Air Force is to ensure the defense of Latvian air space and to contribute to international security efforts as a NATO member.
